Carnivale 2009
The last and final Carnivale for Year Eleven and Year Twelve.
It’s one of those school days, where you get to see everybody and just hang out without a worry in the world. And it just felt good to finish Preliminaries with a Carnivale.
There was plenty of things to do, and I was surprised I didn’t get bored so easily.
Started the morning off by heading into School wondering why everybody was covered up when I was wearing denim shorts and a white singlet top topped off with a fedora (google it). I met up with Angic, then the rest of the group before the bell rang and we were off to roll call.
Bell rung, the whole school were on the steps near the Cola to watch the opening of Carnivale, which included National Costume Parade, Traditional Cultural Dancing, Smoking Ceremony and then I skipped the rest and went to help Anh, Hong and Angic set up Spider Drinks Store :) Then the whole shebang began :)
Singstar was fun, Rachel Versus Angic, singing Bubbly by Colbie Caillat. 6480 by yours truly beating out her best friends and hearing people scream “Wooo, Go Rachel” Why thank you, I’m glad I didn’t make you go deaf. Followed by a another session of just being near food stall with Anh & Hong.
The day went on, and the fun kind of continued.
Bush Band or whatever, I think is always the highlight when everybody gets together and dances without a care in the world. My dancing partner as always, Mytien. We had fun time doing Nut Bush etc.
Besides that Carnivale was pretty good to hang out with friends xxx
And I’m jealous of my photos (found in Facebook) in comparison to my friends SLR photos (comparison can be seen on Facebook if we’re friends).
Today I ate two slices of pizza, two spring rolls, part of a brownie, a banana cake, a coconut ball, a mini chocolate muffin, three small sushi pieces and drank a bottle of water, ice, cream and soda and I think I ate ice.
